Facial Plastic Coordinator
Michelle has over 10 years of experience in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is a Philadelphia native who joined the Department of Otolaryngology as a certified medical assistant. While engaging in direct patient care, Michelle found herself drawn to the field of facial plastics, and soon was appointed the Facial Plastic Coordinator.
Acting as your personal liaison, she is an integral part of Jefferson Facial Plastics. Her complete understanding of medical procedures and surgeries allows Michelle to be in the unique position to answer all questions and concerns regarding your next surgery. In addition to helping you reach your cosmetic goal, Michelle loves building personal relationships with each patient.
Her personal motto is to treat each patient like family. Her engaging personality and caring nature makes everyone feel more comfortable. While away from the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her daughter.
Shannon Brady-Powers, MSN, CRNP, CORLN
Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Manager
Shannon Brady-Powers is a Nurse Practitioner at Jefferson Facial Plastics, and has been an integral part of the practice for over 15 years. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she gained tremendous experience in acute and critical care. Her passion for facial aesthetics and the complexities of facial anatomy drew her to the department of Otolaryngology, where she remains today as the Manager of Clinical Operations. When she is not overseeing all clinical aspects of the department and its satellites, she is working closely with Dr. Heffelfinger and Dr. Krein to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible.
Our patients find her to be a great listener, and a fierce patient advocate. Shannon is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nursing.
Christy Penot, RN
Advanced Staff Registered Nurse
Christy joined Jefferson Facial Plastics in 2006, and has spent the last 13 years as Dr. Heffelfinger’s primary nurse where she prides herself on providing superb patient care. A graduate of Helene Fuld School of nursing, she began her nursing career at the neurological trauma rehabilitation department at Thomas Jefferson University where she was able to master her craft.
At Jefferson Facial Plastics, our patients are drawn to her calming demeanor and great sense of humor. She is praised for how thoroughly she answers every patient question, and often misses lunch so she can explain the nuances of every procedure. She is also an active member of the Society of Otolaryngology-HNS Nurses.
Ashley Medvetz, RN, BSN
Advanced Staff Registered Nurse
Ashley graduated from Widener University in 2010. Upon graduating, she became a staff nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in the Intermediate Neuro Intensive Care Unit. During this time, she developed strong clinical experience. Her patients found her to be warm, comforting and always available to answer any questions. In 2018, She joined the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery as an advanced staff nurse.
Ashley works with Dr. Heffelfinger and Dr. Krein coordinating the care of their facial plastics and reconstructive patients, while assisting with in-office procedures. She enjoys the challenges of facial plastics, especially the complexity involved in facelifts. She is dedicated to ensuring her patients are well taken care of and their visit goes smoothly.
